JEWELRY CARE

Water: Although your jewelry is 925 sterling silver and requires minimal care to stay in great condition, taking off your jewelry before going into any body of water, including showers, will always further the quality of your jewelry. However a shower here and there is fine, just be sure to rinse off the jewelry afterward from any product residue.

Sun: Heavy light exposure can shorten the quality of life of your jewelry and cause it to turn dull. We suggest removing jewelry you care about before being exposed to the sun for long periods like sunbathing. This also includes storing your jewelry in areas the sun is not hitting (ex: not exposed on your dresser stand where the sun hits it daily).

Lotion & Perfume: Chemicals in lotions and perfumes can also cause your jewelry to tarnish. Apply them first, let them dry, and then put your jewelry on.

Storage: Store in a dry, cool place. A closed jewelry box where it is not touching other jewelry or air tight bags are best!

Cleaning: Microfiber cloths do wonders on 925 sterling silver. Be sure to do long strokes versus aggressive rubbing. Sterling silver cleaning solution works great on silver jewelry as well. As for the gold, stay away from rubbing it as it is coated and can cause the base to show through. Stick with liquid cleaners. Gold plated jewelry can be sensitive to body oils so be sure to wipe down your everyday jewelry frequently to avoid wearing. With any cleaning solution, aim for a mild one. Strong abrasive ones can cause more damage than good.
